Warner Bros confirms the next installment for the Hogwarts Legacy series

Hogwarts Legacy is one of Warner Bros’ most profitable series, selling over 40 million units by the end of 2025. It seems sensible for the company to make another sequel from such success, which is why the company is already working on it.

This was mentioned by Warner Bros during an earnings call with shareholders (via IGN) while detailing performance for different departments, including games. The company emphasized the importance of growth through delivered games under four key franchises valued at over a billion, like Lego Batman: Legacy of The Dark Knight. This plan is designed to help increase profitability, which is why the second Hogwarts Legacy installment is already in the works.

“Games remains an important growth lever as we work toward our long-term Studios segment goals.”

While there aren’t any official trailers for the Hogwarts Legacy sequel, Warner Bros is continuing to support the Harry Potter IP through its streaming services, like the upcoming Harry Potter TV series. It will feature one of the earliest magical arcs through HBO Max in December 2026 as Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone, which will be executive produced and led by Francesca Gardiner.

The inevitable growth of interest from the TV series would open a chance for Warner Bros to maintain its momentum with the Hogwarts Legacy sequel reveal, which will most likely release beyond 2026. It all depends on the company’s plans to support its growing IPs
