Make Your Mark On The Lake Territories

Based on the much-loved Warrior Cats book series, Clans of the Forest takes players into the Lake Territories for an original adventure featuring familiar locations and characters. You’ll be able to create your own Warrior Cat, choose a name and customise their appearance, with millions of possible combinations giving you plenty of room to make your feline fighter your own.

There’s a sizeable stretch of territory to explore, too. ThunderClan’s dense forests, RiverClan’s marshlands, ShadowClan’s dark pine swamps and WindClan’s open moors all feature, alongside the sacred Moonpool and The Island. Climbing trees, tracking scents, hunting prey and solving environmental puzzles are all part of the experience, with mysteries surrounding StarClan waiting to be uncovered.

Three Ways To Live The Clan Life

Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest includes three distinct modes. Prophecy Mode features four original stories exploring the challenges of Clan life, while Defender Mode asks you to survive against waves of the game’s fiercest enemies. Skirmish Mode takes a different approach, letting you battle other players asynchronously.

Procedurally generated characters, quests and stories also mean that subsequent playthroughs can take different directions. For those who enjoy visiting friends, there’s asynchronous online interaction as well, including opportunities to visit their camps, craft items and share useful resources.

Turn-Based Battles With Plenty Of Claw And Bite

Combat is a major part of the journey, with battles supporting up to three cats against three opponents. You’ll have 75 unique combat moves to discover and unlock, allowing you to develop your approach as your warrior grows stronger.

The opposition ranges from rival Clan cats to badgers, foxes and imposing Dobermanns. Not every encounter needs to end in a fight, though. Hunting birds, rabbits, squirrels and other prey gives you another way to interact with the environment, while foraging for materials lets you craft items for your den.

There’s a mixture of exploration, resource gathering and tactical combat here, with the familiar territories providing a backdrop to the adventure. Players can also interact with nine cats from the book series, giving fans a chance to encounter established characters during their own journey.

Standard Or Feral – Which Edition Suits Your Warrior?

The Standard Edition costs £24.99, while the £34.99 Feral Edition includes the additional Prophecy Pack.

That pack adds eight accessories for the cat creator, 12 wearable accessories, a cel-shaded character skin, four cat poses for photo mode and four photo mode effects. It’s an extra collection of customisation options for anyone keen to give their warrior a more distinctive look.

We first covered Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest when it was announced back in August. Now, players can step into the Lake Territories and start building their own stories among the Clans.

With its original narrative, tactical battles, extensive cat creator and online features, Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest has plenty for fans to get their paws into. Whether you’re chasing the next prophecy, defending your territory or simply making your cat feel at home in camp, there’s a new life waiting to be lived in the forest.
