Naturally, many of these games have been re-released over the years on various collections and digital storefronts, although not necessarily for PlayStation hardware. For example, Breath of Fire has only been released for Nintendo platforms, including its original SNES release all the way through to its inclusion in the Nintendo Classics lineup for the Nintendo Switch.
Meanwhile, the more obscure Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight only came out on the NES in 1990 and is a spin-off to the original 1987 beat-’em-up title in the franchise. The game never saw the light of day in Europe, releasing only in Japan and the US.
